On 7 October 2026, Y.S. Sharmila, president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee, met Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay in Chennai. Together with her husband Anil Kumar, she handed the chief minister a formal invitation to her daughter Y.S. Anjili Reddy’s wedding to Somala Raghuram Reddy.
Sharmila posted on X that she had invited the chief minister to attend the ceremony and to bless the newlyweds. Vijay received the invitation warmly and sent his best wishes for the bride and groom.
