Marvel Studios has launched the final chapter of its Wanda and Vision trilogy with the premiere of VisionQuest on Disney+, an eight‑episode series starring Paul Bettany that resolves storylines left open by WandaVision.

The first two episodes, “No Strings” and “Theseus,” were released on October 13. The remaining six episodes will be released weekly in a staggered pattern: two on October 20, two on October 27, one on November 3 and the final one on November 10.

VisionQuest picks up where WandaVision left off, with the synthezoid hero rebuilt as White Vision, stripped of his memories. The narrative unfolds inside Vision’s mind, where artificial intelligences such as F.R.I.D.A.Y., J.A.R.V.I.S., E.D.I.T.H. and Ultron—played again by James Spader—represent different facets of his psyche, and in the outside world, where he encounters Tommy, the son created by Wanda Maximoff.

Ultron is described as Vision’s technical father, alongside Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, adding a layer of familial complexity as Vision confronts his own version of fatherhood. Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff was last seen buried beneath a mountain in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, while Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness anchored the 2024 series Agatha All Along. Whether either character appears in this final chapter remains unknown.

WandaVision, which launched Marvel’s Disney+ era during the pandemic, earned 23 Emmy nominations, including for Olsen, Bettany and Hahn. VisionQuest carries the weight of closing a narrative arc that began with that groundbreaking experiment in weekly episodic storytelling.
